Why Buy Local Flowers?

1) No planes, trucks, boxing or shipping.... you're helping the environment.  Most cut flowers that are bought at the grocery stores or florists are shipped from thousands of miles away.

2) No preserving chemicals.  Your flowers will smell like flowers.

3) Saving our pollinators!!  Help save the bees along with all the other wonderful creatures in our ecosystem.

How flowers came into my life?

Growing up, my mother had immaculate border gardens and annuals every year and I had a  grandmother who always grew Dahlias and Marigolds (and nothing else. HAHA).  Since adulthood and having my own home I've always grown Marigolds, as a little nod to Grammy, and sunflowers because I LOVE them.

About 4 years ago I read a book about the benefits of growing flowers amongst your vegetables to encourage pollination and a better ecosystem.  Well lets just say it was love at first bloom.

Every year I've been adding more and more flowers to the growing spaces and 2022 is going to be the biggest year yet with bouquets sales, special events and a by appointment U Pick along with my vegetables and herbs selling.  My last count has been starting over 6000 flower or greenery seeds in the greenhouse on top of the thousands more I'll be direct sowing.  Don't even get me started on the perennials.  hahaha

The statement 'growing joy' is very true with flowers.  It's the ultimate self care to surround yourself with natures beauty.  Fewer things give me more happiness then watching a hummingbird or big drunk bumble bee.  I hope to spread that happiness around this season.

We grow our flowers sustainably without any chemicals or sprays of any kind and source seeds from Canadian growers along with our own saving seed from the previous year.

Please check out the Facebook page for events and U pick information.
